Born on the streets of the Bronx, NYC, Hip-Hop is a free-style social dance developed by the African-American and Latino communities. Inspired by previously established dance forms such as Breaking, Popping, and Locking, Hip-Hop has developed its own new personality. This improvisation-based dance, danced to Hip-Hop music, places great emphasis on showcasing creativity and personality through movement, while exploring rhythm.
