Funky Kriss

Kristina, a.k.a. Funky Kriss, was born and raised in Spain, attended a theatre class from the age of 6, and loved to be on stage even then. She was also a big fan of Michael Jackson, watching his videos at a young age and repeating his choreographies and steps. Over time, curiosity and interest in movement increased, but she did not attend formal classes just yet.

Kristina saw the Locking dance style for the first time in 2012 and only in 2017, after moving to Lithuania, did she start dancing it. This particular dance style helped Kristina discover herself as a person, it evolved her character.

She has been dancing Locking for 6 years now, traveling to foreign dance events and workshops, dance camps, learning from various mentors, teachers, and dancers, participating in battles.


Funky Kriss has had quite a few different mentors: Popping Kozo, Emilis Pilionis, Gemini, Funky J, Kenzo, Neal, Plcok, Hilty & Bosch, Yoshie, Loic, Luna Yuna, Hoan, Nelson, Damon Frost, Hozin, Boppin Andre, Funky U, Felix (Dice), Rugilė Bliznikaitė, Gabija Čepelytė, Kamilla Lil’K, Airida Gudaitė,  Diablo, Ruth Prim, Amely Mel's, Alpha Omega, Inga Be, Vovan, Candyman & many more.

She is currently studying Contemporary Dance & Pedagogy at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater and is interested in creating, improvising, and developing her performance skills. Funky Kriss’s main aim is to grow the Locking community in Lithuania.
